A favorite of ours, these Chinese BBQ Pork Sliders are quick to put together and go fantastic with our Pickled Summer Vegetables. It makes for a quick lunch or appetizer for any summer get together.

To make this recipe you’ll need:
For the Chinese BBQ Sauce
- 1 teaspoon fish sauce
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- ½ cup soy sauce
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ teaspoon Chinese five spice
- ¼ teaspoon chili paste
For the Sliders
- 12 Chinese plain buns, heated according to package*
- 3 cups cooked pulled pork
- ½ cup Chinese BBQ Sauce
- 1 cup pickled summer veggies
To make the BBQ sauce, whisk the fish sauce and cornstarch together until smooth. Whisk in the soy sauce, brown sugar, and Chinese five spice. Pour the sauce into a small pot and simmer over medium low heat for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat and whisk in the chili paste. Set aside while assembling the sliders.
Assemble the sliders by placing ¼ cup pulled pork on each roll. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of BBQ sauce onto the pork and top with some of the pickled summer veggies. Enjoy!
*Chinese plain buns can be found in Asian specialty markets in the freezer section. If you cannot find these buns, you can substitute them with your favorite slider buns.
